NOTES: This was the Cruisers
first foray into a real "D" touranment. We played
some ham and egg Vegas D tournament, but had a
tough time adjusting to the one pitch BS. Played a
split squad D tournament in Fullerton SCSA once...
We came out with a solid "D" squad, but just
couldn't deliever. The goal for this year is to
assemble a team to compete at a high level in 2002.
We should be able to do that if all the pieces fall
into place.

We jumped
out to a quick 6-1 lead through 2 innings.
Short fences were our demise in this game.
An Andy Solis, bases loaded line drive
went about 4 feet over the fence in dead
center. Tile-4-Less rallied for 6 in the
bottom of the 6th to take the win.

Terrible
defensive play, and a lack of sticks did
us in here. Despite the poor defense, we
just need to push one run across to tie,
and two to win. A double play in the 6th,
and a 1-2-3 7th did us in. 2 & Q. Nice
day.
