The "Hey Ladies"

The "Hey Ladies" play with Jordan Fernandez.

NOTES: We qualified for the AmCom National tournament with our win in Big Bear last July. The tournament was held at BIG LEAGUE DREAMS in Cathederal City. We fielded a solid team, and had a grand time yet again.

The Skinny

vs. Most Wanted

Loss

11-10

An unsavory trend has followed the Coed team over from the men's team. Yes, as has become custom on the Men's side, we started off with a first game loss. It took a few innings before the 'hey ladies' got their bearings back as they hadn't played since last coed season. We did rally, and stage a late comeback, but came up one run short.

@ Desert Dawgs

Win

21-17

The sticks came out nicely in this game, and the Hey Ladies represented with a solid 10 for 19. We battled back from a 6 run deficit, and scored nine in the top of the 5th to distance ourselves. The Dawgs put four runs in the bottom of the 5th to tie it up, but we rallied for 4 in the top of the 7th to win the game.

@ Win Ugly

Win

14-2

Win Ugly is exactly what we did. The sticks weren't as hot as the last game, but we still put 14 on the board and came away with a 14-2 mercy rule victory.

vs. Misdirected

Win

11-2

This game turned out to be a deciding game, as loser went home, and winner advanced to the 3rd/4th place game. The sticks didn't generate much, but we did put 7 runs on the board int he 4th/5th to give us a cushion. Time some how ran out as we carried 11-2 lead... but no complaints!

vs. 1st & 3rd

Loss

29-12

Yes we were tired, burnt, exhausted and such... after only having one ONE-HOUR break. But we were WAY overmatched in this bad boy. It was actually a close game for most of the evening, as they took a 14-8 lead into the top of the 7th. A defensive stop, and we were looking good. 15 runs later we were looking at 29-8 hole. Not the way you want to go home. Nonetheless, we got to see an AWSOME display of hitting from 1st & 3rd. These peeps could PLAY. Their pitcher took three WAY out of Yankee stadium.
